Which pet would be absolutely perfect for someone like me?

In a few years I would really like to have a pet of my own because I love animals and companionship, however, I truly just can't decide which is right for me!

For starters, no reptiles or anything like that, I would like a furry pet! Just preference! Something other than a dog and a cat too because I want something a bit different. Absolutely no pet is completely low maintenance so that doesn't matter to me. I would also like a very cuddly pet, something that likes to be picked up, cuddled, and snuggled! I know all animals have their own personalities of course, but which is this more the norm for? Thank you all!
