Big changes to Quebec LIF withdrawal rules in 2025

The rules and limits for LIF withdrawals for those 55 and over are being greatly relaxed. You can now withdraw whatever amount you wish without any restrictions. You can't really call it a life income fund anymore if you can pull all your money out of the fund long before you die. Why is the government doing this?
