Should i pick the 7900xtx or the 9070xt?

I'm just about to buy a fresh new pc with a 2300$~ budget and I was planning on getting the 7900xtx as part of my build, but with the recent AMD announcement I'm starting to think, maybe I should wait for the 9070xt and buy it instead?

I know the leaks says the performance are not better then the 7900xtx, but the technology is. So I i really don't know.

I really care about future proofing, I want my PC to stay decent for like 5 years before thinking of upgrating/buliding a new one. so I wanted to ask you guys what you think about it.
