Mothers maiden name

So I'm looking to apply ASAP for a US passport for the very first time. When getting all of my documents together I noticed that my mothers maiden name on my birth certificate shows the last name she had from her first marriage and not her actual maiden name. Almost 30 years of having it and no ones ever noticed or asked questions. But for a passport is it going to be a problem? On the DS-11 Form I wrote her actual maiden name and my marriage license/record also shows her maiden name. Is this going to be an issue that these documents don't match up to her last name shown on my birth certificate? Should I just go ahead and submit the application anyways? I've seen some people get away with typos but a whole different last name seems a lot more problematic. I'm also unsure if it makes a difference but my last name is the same as her maiden name. I'm at a loss and worried about wasting time/money on applying just to be rejected so any advice would be appreciated! Thanks!
