What do you love about your job?

Long time lurker, first time poster. (For context I am a paramedic student in Canada).

I have seen more posts that I can count on this platform and others about how everyone is burnt out, sick of taking crap from patients, hates their work environment, etc.

So, for a change, I want to know what everyone LOVES about their jobs. What is it about EMS that keeps you coming back? Weather it's talking with granny on her way to get her UTI checked, the hilarity of someone who "slipped" on to that cucumber, the adrenaline of working a code, anything. What aspects keep you engaged with your job? What gets you excited for work even after all the time you have spent dealing with the crap this job can throw at you? I want to hear it all!

TLDR; Even though this job is tougher than most, what gets you excited/ keeps you engaged in your work?
