Should I switch to remake

I have been watching fishman island and got to episode 558 but I feel like it is being dragged more than the low taper fade meme, so I wanted to know if I will miss anything crucial if a switch to the remake now because I looked up this question before starting fishman island and people said it cut on Canon scenes for sake of pacong
