Half Marathon Training

Hi! I’m looking for some advice on training for a half marathon. I began my running journey last year and have signed up for a half marathon in May! This will be a big accomplishment for me and I’m super excited, but also nervous— especially when it comes to training.

Does anyone have recommendations on a training plan through Peloton? I don’t know very much about running on my own, so I really enjoy taking classes when I can just follow exactly what the instructor says. I’ve completed the 5k training twice and recently finished the 10k. I know that they have a 1/2 marathon collection, but it doesn’t say what day I’m supposed to do each run or what days should be rest days. I did also see that they have a marathon training program that is split into three parts. I have also considered taking the first two parts as my training. Is that a bad idea? I would rather be over prepared than underprepared.

I have loved having pace targets and find that they really help me stay on track. What pace should be my goal to complete my half marathon at? Should I be in the moderate range or challenging? Or higher than that? I want to push myself, but I also want my goal time to attainable. I do feel confident that if I were to run a half marathon tomorrow that I could finish it, but I would really like to work on getting my speed up a bit.

And if anyone has advice on how to incorporate strength training into it as well.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
