Any tips for progressing?

Just created a new account after using my first account up to rank 15 and was lucky enough to get EX Roger. I’m still new to the game and am wondering what I should do to progress? Any tips for medals and trying to get more support characters? Is it worth trying to go for EX lucci or should I save for the next one? All tips are welcome! Thanks!
