Karen's Youth

After recently learning from the Wiki that her parents are alive, I began to wonder why the show never explored her childhood more.

• What are her parents like? Where are they now?
• How did they respond to her pregnancy?
• How did they feel about Dan returning with Deb?
• How did she get the cafe as a teen mom? Who worked there before Lucas and Haley were old enough to help?

I've always sort of head canoned that she came from a loving home and her parents died when Lucas was a baby, leaving her the house and either the property/money for the cafe in a will.
