Best supplements to take with Adderall for effectiveness?
Tl;Dr; What supplements would be the best to take with my Adderall to increase effectiveness? Is there any all in one stacks I can buy that are still high quality and somewhat cheaper than buying a bunch of different supplements?
Currently taking fish oil, magnesium glycerate, creatine and Arginine/citrulline.
Detailed explanation;
I've been taking Adderall since about 2018 when I was 24 in college. I workout often, drink mainly water and current supplements are magnesium glycerate, Arginine/citrulline (Goliath Argine plus, a nitric oxide booster for the gym), creatine and fish oil. I used to take zinc but eventually stopped for the past year because for some reason I determined it wasn't worth it (I would have to relook into why I determined that).
Right now my Adderall effectiveness isn't nearly as good as it used to. In college I never had an issue with sleep, appetite or anxiety. And for what it's worth I went to college after serving in the military so it's not like my body was still developing or I wasn't used to stress or anything before, it all started to slowly get downhill once I graduated/started a more normal life. To me it doesn't make sense that the Adderall would all of a sudden affect me in that way.
Through my research from the various reddit threads I have read seems to align alot with what chatgpt recommends as well;
- Supplements That May Enhance Adderall’s Effects
L-Tyrosine (500-2000mg daily) – A precursor to dopamine that may help replenish neurotransmitters depleted by long-term Adderall use.
Acetyl-L-Carnitine (500-1000mg daily) – May improve focus and energy by supporting mitochondrial function.
B Vitamins (especially B6 & B12) – Support dopamine production and overall brain health.
Zinc (10-30mg daily) – May enhance dopamine signaling and reduce the likelihood of tolerance.
N-Acetyl Cysteine (NAC, 600-1200mg daily) – Supports dopamine regulation and may reduce neurotoxicity from long-term stimulant use.
