What is a “soda” or “coke” or “pop”?

I’ve looked through supermarkets for popping or sparkling drinks and found stuff like sprite, coke, pepsi (sodas) but i’ve also found flavored sparkling water (ICE, liquid death). i’ve also found that some sodas if not all had caffeine, so is it a energy drink (monster, redbull)? What qualifies as sparkling water, energy drinks and sodas?
