Have you ever had a personal item just disappear never to be found again?

This happened to me last night. As always, before bed, I put my vape on the coffee table in the living room. I have an exact spot for it and my nighttime routine has been the exact same for years. This morning I woke up and it was gone. Now I looked for it for around a half hour, gave up and bought a new one. It’s an expensive type of vape, not a disposable, so I was pretty annoyed. When I got home I decided to spend more time looking for it and if I did find it I’d just return the one I bought. Two hours. Two hours went by as I sort of destroyed the house looking for it. Nothing. There that’s my story of the “Mystery of The Missing Vape”

Edit I live alone. I’m the only one with a key. And yes the door was locked when I woke up, like every morning.
