It’s going to be called the “Switch Attach”

A few years ago it was leaked accidentally by a YouTube ad that there would be something called the Nintendo Switch Attach. People started theorizing whether that would be a new switch system or some kind of peripheral, but nothing ever came of that and everyone forgot about it.

Fast forward a few years and we have seen leaks of what the system will look like, and lo and behold, it has the joy cons attach to the system directly instead of sliding.

The very fact that the “Switch Attach” name was leaked a few years ago and accurately predicted what the gimmick of the new system would be practically confirms that it was real and that “Switch Attach” will be the name.

Not only is this name leagues better than “Switch 2” which does nothing to convey that Nintendo charm while explaining what the system entails with a cute little gimmicky name, but it also rolls off the tongue better.

And before you say it, no the Wii U’s name was not why it failed, it was due to its atrocious ads. They only focused on the game pad and not the actual system so nobody new it was a new console. If the Switch Attach has actually competent ads then even if it was called the Switch Peripheral it would sell extremely well. Not to mention the incredible amount of hype around the system, it won’t fail even if the ads were shit as well (Which they won’t be)
