Which to go for between psychologist, health care psychologist, and clinical psychologist?
Hey everyone, I'm a 2nd year Psychology student from Maastricht and I wanted to ask some questions here in the hope that anyone who has some insight into the clinical psychology domain might help clear some things up for me.
To begin with, I want to ask if anyone knows what the demand is like for clinical psychologists in The Netherlands. I know that this is a competitive field so I'd greatly appreciate it if anyone would be able to tell me how long it took for them to find a job.
Secondly, If anyone is willing to share some rough estimate of how much a starting clinical psychologist would earn in their city would help me immensely because I am thinking of moving into one of the bigger cities in the future (Rotterdam or Amsterdam perhaps). I gathered from my own research that there are quite large salary differences between the 3 titles of "clinical psychologists", but I am eager to start working as soon as I can, which is why I am interested in finding out if studying for a few more years is "worth it" to go from a health care psychologist to a clinical psychologist.
Disclaimer: I know that for all of these jobs and studies, the Dutch language is required, but I plan to study it intensively and integrate as much as possible in these next few years.
