HHK and today’s four letter word: TAPE
Tape!! I laughed. Literally the last thing I expected to find while deconstructing. A sweet finisher coached me through the tedious process. I’ve been stitching in some form or another since I was a kid and this is by far the sloppiest project I’ve encountered to date. I’m pretty sure that hand stitched stuffed chick I made my mother in 2nd grade turned out better than this. As you can see there are areas where the canvas was cut so close it doesn’t even cover the YELLOW mat board. Areas it was unevenly turned and others where it was cut straight to the stitching. Why not add a GIANT glob of hot clue in the middle. I was wondering why it was so thick ☠️ I was expecting perhaps extra mat board layers but nope … just a giant glib of hot glue to hang out with the tape. Here’s to hoping yours do not suffer the same fate as mine. And to those who still sing HHK’s praises: I don’t doubt you once received a lovely project. But with ALL that has already been discussed - both things can be true without invalidating others’ experiences. I post this so you too may be appalled and see her business for what it is currently. To knowingly continue to support and recommend her to new stitchers is absolutely disgraceful. So many of us stitch for a reason and select projects that have great sentiment to our lives. Don’t let your recommendation be the one that yields these results.
