A thread about threads 🪡
Inspired by my recent comment about wanting to talk about stupid crap again, I thought I'd share some opinions about threads!
Vineyard silk: my baby 🤩 I love this thread so much. It's so soft and I just love how it looks hanging up on the walls haha
Pepper pot: she's a drama queen! I hate opening the skeins. IMO this thread is spun weird and I don't like the feel of it. I will use it in a pinch though and I keep basic colors in PP so I can use them on 18 or 13
Essentials: love her! I want to know what they do differently for the cards vs skeins because the thread that comes on the skeins is so much loftier and softer!
Planet Earth Silk (the non-strandable kind): basically thicker VS, I love this for 13. I primarily stitch on 18 so I don't use it as much, but when I do I'm going for PE Silk
PE silk (strandable): I've never tried this but I've felt it at my LNS and it just feels weird to me. Would love everyone's thoughts!
Milan: ok I tried this for the first time and then tried PE silk right after so my judgement might be clouded. I need to try it again.
Splendor: my favorite strandable silk! Love her and love that she comes in a bajillion colors
Ok that's it for the standard threads. I will add more to the comments ♥️
