being an nsgf is hard but actually serving ns is incomparable
As the title suggests and as I’m about to elaborate on, being an nsgf can be rly tough—meeting ur partner a lot less frequently, getting texts only every few hrs, having to deal with no contact during outfields, having to accommodate to their schedule, etc. but we often forget that being in ns is a whole diff ballgame alltgt. so here’s a little appreciation post to all the ns boys & girls out there!!!🙂↕️
I don’t think ppl say this enough but thank u for keeping Singapore a safe place for us and for dedicating ur time to protecting our country. after discussing w my bf who’s currently in ns, I truly don’t think ppl in sg know exactly how much mental & physical turmoil y’all go through: having to follow such a strict regime alm everyday, having to train sm physically, not being able to hv freedom, not having a purpose (more for the nsboys who didn’t choose to do this), and not to mention the lack of sleep (and a whole lot more I didn’t mention)…..must be crazy difficult to endure for 2+ yrs :,) and to think society places even more pressure on those in ns uniform to flw the laws/rules or to always be doing the socially acceptable thing (like stand on the mrt even tho ur legs are aching) is even crazier. ns creatures are humans too ! And i appreciate you 🫶
And to my ocs bf, im so thankful for u and so proud of u and I can’t wait till u ord 😁❤️❤️
