Something’s Off Near the Lake
Last night, after dinner, my friends and I went for a walk near the lake by the girls’ hostel. It was late, around 11 PM, and everything was unusually quiet. As we passed the garden near the swampy part of the lake, we heard faint rustling sounds. They weren’t loud, but enough to make us stop.
We called out, “Koi hai? Sab theek hai?” but got no response. It felt… odd. I took out my phone to zoom in and snapped a picture to check. What we saw left us frozen. In the foggy distance, there were shadowy figures—not moving, just standing there. At first, we thought it was a prank or something, but the longer we looked, the worse it got.
Hume bas samajh aa gaya ki yahan rukna nahi chahiye. We bolted straight back to our hostel without looking back. Even now, we can’t explain what we saw. Maybe shadows, maybe something else.
The campus has felt strange lately—especially with elections coming up. Has anyone else noticed anything unusual near the lake at night?
