Todays Picks 1/24

Tampa Bay 3-Way -145

Tampa Bay comes into Chicago tonight having lost their last 2. They’ve had a couple of nights off, and I expect them to come out flying against a young, struggling Blackhawks team. Tampa has an elite offensive group and an elite goalie in Andrei Vasilevskiy. Chicago is near the bottom of the league in team defense and has a 3.43 goals against per game. Tampa Bay excels at exploiting weak defensive structures. Chicago lacks offensive firepower, scoring a below-league average of 2.60 GF/G. The Lightning also have the special teams advantage, and if they get a few opportunities, they should take advantage of a weak Chicago PK. Give me the Lightning taking this one in regulation tonight.

Dallas ML -150

Dallas has been great in their barn this year with a record of 17-7-1 on home ice. Dallas has great offensive and defensive depth as well as an elite goaltender in Jake Oettinger. Vegas has taken a step back after their hot start and are 4-6 in their last 10 games. They’re also coming into Dallas on a B2B. I expect it to be a close one tonight, but I think Dallas gets a big win over a good Vegas team.

Winnipeg 3-Way -135

Winnipeg is riding high after a big overtime win over Colorado the other night. They also boast a strong home record of 18-5-3. Connor Hellebuyck has been lights out at home, posting a .932 SV% and a 1.81 GAA. Utah played a great game last night against a good Wild team, but coming in Winnipeg on a B2B is a tall task, especially missing key plays. With Winnipeg riding high and Utah on a B2B, I give the Jets the win taking this one at home in regulation.
