Movies Where a Man and a Woman Are Partners but Can’t Afford to Get Attached

I’m looking for movies where a man and a woman become partners in some way. It could be crime-related, business, a job, or any kind of unusual situation. The key is that, for whatever reason, they can’t allow themselves to get emotionally attached. Maybe it’s due to professional boundaries, personal struggles, or the nature of their situation.

That said, there should still be an undercurrent of tension. Whether it’s mutual understanding, repressed emotions, or a fleeting sense that they could connect if things were different. One of them could also be unaware of the full stakes of their situation.

Two examples I have in mind are Heat (1995) and Fallen Angels (1995). Would love to hear more recommendations that capture this dynamic.
