Hello UK riders...I have an issue.
I'll try to be as concise as possible.
I own a Suzuki SV1000 sk5 - Currently experiencing issue of FI error.
History:
First began when I was trying to get to work and bike wouldn't start with error FI. I didn't go until later in the day and just started the bike again an hour or so later and it started.
The bike then began to get more temperamental with time. My (at time) fix was to kill switch on/off until the fuel pump primed at which point the bikes FI error would disappear.
I broke down, inevitably, whilst riding which was the first time (it just cut out). The fix at the time was to bypass the fuel pump relay, replace fuel pump fuse and now the pump was always going. This worked for a little while the new fuel pump relay I ordered arrived.
It arrived and I'm not sure whether I got a dud or not but even when putting everything back to how it was it remained FI error even with the priming of pump.
I have managed to get it running again but it's temperamental even now. I am going to order a new fuel pump relay but from what I find there is no ACTUAL part that is guaranteed to work. Only advertising for GENERIC part which includes side stand relay and other parts?!?!? Idk how that works but I can't go to mechanic for a little so need to see if I can fix at home. Mechanically sound bike though.
EDIT: FORGOT TO SAY I PUT INTO DEALER MODE AND CODE WAS C41 (FUEL RELAY CURCUIT) AND C42 WHEN THE BYPASS ACTIVE (INCORRECT RESISTANCE)
Kind regards reddit!
