What's the point of pulling a character if you need to pull it for 7 times to unleash the full potential?

Whats the point of playing stock character if its gonna be weaker that fully upgraded one? A very strange move by the developers, although i can see why they doing it (for the money ofc). You either get it by non-stop grinding or paying a lot of money and thats kinda meh....

(im new to gacha games but this is a disaster, why are you tolerating this?)
