Where to find hockey

Moved here from Florida and have been dying to play in the state of hockey. I've been playing as a defenseman for about 8 years now but recently after my move I was able to snag a whole bag of goalie gear for free and have wanted to get into playing both positions. I've tried looking into my local rinks but the websites I've gone to haven't been helpful. The only website I've found that seems to be my only lead is through hockeyfinder.com but it doesn't seem like it's legit. I don't know how true it is, but I heard it's only seasonal here which is crazy since I could play year round in Florida. Where I used to play, all the rinks I could go to usually had a space on their websites to sign up for skate and shoots, drop ins, and even info on leagues. Word of mouth hasn't gotten me anywhere and I feel like I'm going in circles looking online so I've turned to Reddit. Can anybody help me?
