Did not have to rate buyer?

So my item that I sold showed it delivered today and about an hour later I get a notification saying I’ve been paid. The buyer didn’t leave me a rating and I didn’t have to leave a rating. Has anyone else experienced this? If so, do you know why this is? A review from them doesn’t show up at all. And I don’t have an opening to rate them. Just shows “You’ve been paid”.
