PTV App Platform Numbers

I catch the Melton/Wendouree service from Southern Cross which, depending on time of day, either departs from Platform 1 or Platform 15/16, complete opposite ends of the station. All the screens at the station which show all the departures and platforms (I believe) are outside the ticketed area, which can be a bit of a detour and is especially frustrating if I'm running late.

It's sort of a minor problem, but I have missed a couple trains because of this and I'd like to be able to just head straight to the platform. Wondering if the PTV App shows platform numbers, or alternatively if anyone knows what time of day the Melton/Wendouree trains use which platform
