How are you supposed to grow a publication?

I've been making posts for my publication, but no one seems to want to hit the follow button. Granted I'm still not getting too many views per article, but even so, it's kind of frustrating to not be able to get my publication off the ground.

How should one go about getting more followers to a publication?
