Quitting my job to pursue an MBA?
Hey guys really could use some help.
About me:
25 Working in medical imaging Made 106k CAD last year Potential to make more down the line (but nothing significant- I.e 120ish) Very laid back job. Little to no stress. No work at home. Mind shuts off at the end of the day. I like my job. Don’t love it. No real drive to improve myself as there’s no room to move up.
My opportunity:
MBA 28 month program with 12 months of co-op at McMaster university. This program gets ranked anywhere from top 15 to top 10 in Canada depending on the source.
I would specialize in finance and seek a complete career pivot into capital markets. I’m very motivated / love to work hard.
So , do you guys think it would be stupid of me to leave my job in pursue the MBA? My issue is , I don’t want to move backwards in life.
I don’t mind not making money in school and then obviously not making 6 figures off the bat. But if I have the potential to make say 200k down the line I would be really motivated to keep working and improve.
Any inputs would be really helpful.
Thanks everyone.
