No Longer Using "Bonus" Calories

First I want to say that I rarely use my bonus calories to go over the amount of calories the app says I should be eating in a day. The bonus calorie system in the Lose It app just doesn't make sense to me and makes it so much more confusing. I can be very active one day, go to the gym, and burn more calories according to my Apple watch but not hit my bonus calories. Then the next day just wear my Apple watch all day go for a small walk and hit my bonus calories. I don't know if I'm syncing something wrong, but the whole system does not make much sense. For the longest, I thought I was setting up the settings wrong, but after scrolling through here it seems to be an issue for a lot of people.
