what artist is currently at the same level of fame that peep had before he passed?

who would be the best comparison of peeps fame before he passed? i’m trying to gauge just how big peep was and how many fans he really had. talking with current underground artists. i’m not talking only artists with similar genres/ looks, just pure notoriety and fame. examples: nettspend, semetary, phreshboyswag. all decently big but majority of this sub will probably have no clue who they are.
