Is this game now too easy?

From where I had read, it is the hardest soulslike out there, and so many people complained so it was made easier in a update. - is this true? And if so have they made it too easy?

I completed my first play through really quickly, think the only boss which took a few attempts was Laxasia & the King. This was without using any consumables & just using my shooting Legion arm.

Just completed NG+ last night and exactly the same experience, however I did go to a different ending and faced the nameless puppet, who actually was a bit of a challenge.

For anyone curious my weapon was the Salamander dagger with a spear handle.

I'm by no means a veteran soulslike player, I'm actually not to into the gameplay really, I just like the challenge. I do love Sekiro though.
