Claim process time increased to 3 months

For compensations KLM communicates that it will normally be processed within 4 weeks. However, KLM has had to cancel or move a lot of flights over the past months due to weather and technical issues and therefore they have been extra busy. The time to have your claim processed has now been updated to three (3) months.

In the first week of December my flight got cancelled due to technical issues and I had to book for myself an extra night at a hotel, and this claim has not been processed (been 8 weeks now). I know I am unlucky as I have also seen messages here from people who got refunded and their claim processed much quicker than me as they filed a claim after I did. Just sharing this information so that others who got as unlucky as me are aware of the longer process time.

Edit: Eleven (11) weeks later my claim got finally processed. Just in time of their new updated claim process time.
