What now?
I’m not a lawyer, so I’m likely not using the right terminology, but I’m really curious about something. JD’s lawyer in the case against Clayton, Lexi, has asked the court if she can stop representing her. There’s a deposition scheduled really soon.
If Lexi doesn’t get dismissed and the deposition happens, does she have to represent her? Or would they have to postpone the deposition until the dismissal is sorted out?
If Lexi does get dismissed, would JD not having a lawyer be a reason to postpone the deposition or would she have to hire someone before the date to make the deposition happen on time?
Does the decision to dismiss Lexi need to happen before the deposition or can it be left until after the deposition happens?
