Evolution

I've been reading a book given to me by a Haredi Rabbi and I've really enjoyed it so far, but one thing that I have found in it that I have some qualms about is the books complete rejection of evolution. I don't have a great background in science and the points made in the book were very good, but upon further investigation, a lot of it can be disproven I guess. I'm really not sure and this is a topic I would like to learn more about. I honestly never really thought about it, until the book mentioned it. Even if there is evolution, it does not discount the fact that Hashem created the world, at least to me. I'd like to discuss this topic with people on here, to be able to learn more from everyone. Do you believe in evolution? If you do, how do you balance this view with the belief that Hashem created the world? Looking forward to a great and enticing discussion, I know this is a touchy topic, so lets all try to maintain respectful to everyone and their beliefs!
