Nintendo museum and bullet train tickets

So I’m going to Japan in early may. I’ve made drawing bids for the Nintendo museum in Kyoto. Is it easier to buy it on site or do you have to go through the website? Also is it easier to get bullet train tickets online or on site? Like if I want to leave Japan at 8am is it possible to get a set on the bullet train or it going to be packed?
