JRPGs that spoil their own character deaths/fake deaths through gameplay

Heavy spoilers here, so please use spoiler tags.

Just as the caption says, I was wondering which JRPGs basically spoiled the deaths of playable characters, or them surviving their apparent deaths prematurely to you through their gameplay. Let me give you an example:

Regal surviving in Tales of Symphonia

At one point in Tales of Symphonia multiple characters in your party sacrifice themselves in order for Lloyd to continue to his goal. They all get to give very emotional last speeches before their very sad demise. Later though it is revealed that they all survived and are completely unharmed, with the first one to go being the character Regal. But only 1 or 2 minutes before that event you find a treasure chest with the Phoenix Cloak, a new piece of armor that only Regal can equip. Now, I thought, "why would the game give me new equipment for Regal that he never even gets to use?". There isn't any boss battle before his "death", there isn't even a mandatory regular fight. And right then and there on my first playthrough I realized that Regal wouldn't really die, same as every other character who "dies" after Regal, simply because of this obvious equipment placement.

Another example would be Fiora's death in Xenoblade Chronicles

At one point very early into Xenoblade Chronicles the first big twist happens where one of your three party members, Fiora, tragically dies. But before you reach that moment the game allows you to surprisingly do a lot of things in Colony 9 and Tephra Cave. But as I leveled up I realized something: Shulk and Reyn kept learning more and more Arts while Fiora was stuck with only 4. And that's when I thought that something was going on with her. Given, it's my fault for overleveling and I think the game does a very good job of hiding her coming fate, but the 4 Arts were a pretty strong giveaway.

What other examples can you think of?
