Summer Italy itinerary recommendations

I'm attending a friend's wedding in July in Porto Fino. Woo hoo! We'll spend 2-3 days with our friends there but then my daughter and I will be traveling together from there, probably before the wedding (which is the end of July) I want to make the most of our trip, but am not sure where to go. I'll have about 10 days for the trip.

For sure I want to spend a couple of days in Cinque Terra before going to Porto Fino.

I had initially really wanted to go to Rome, but have been reading it'll be pretty crazy this year because of the jubilee, especially in July. It would be okay keeping it simple, avoiding stress and seeing Rome in a couple of years when my daughter is older.

Where we fly in will make a difference as well. Being on a budget I'll have to find the cheapest city to fly into.
