Why do Palestinians shout "Khaybar Khaybar ya yahud"?

After the ceasefire announcement I have seen Gazans shouting that phrase as a celebration.

I am aware of the history of the battle of Khaybar. The part that confuses me is that the Palestinians claim that Israelis are eastern Europeans, so why reference an ancient battle in the middle east to humiliate your eastern european enemy?
