Irish weather

With how bipolar Irish weather is what is the craic with fishing. I’ve been fishing the midlands past week canals and rivers and yet nothing has been even entertained by the lures I’m using. Mainly spinning and small rapala sinking lures for trout. Just got a new 10 gram rod and I’m mad to break it in. Started off on a 100 gram and slowly making my way down to get more of a fight off the fish.
