This season is the weakest season so far

And it is this episode that was the nail in the coffin for me to truly believe that.

Powerplex isn't as deep or complex as everyone says he is, he was just too stupid and his work in GDA is just huge plothole that makes no sense.

Also Mark has been useless literally all season, I can't even remember him winning ANY FIGHT anymore. Now he's losing to a budget black lightning.

The scene with the wife and kid burned was actually chilling, but thing is... I knew it was coming, it was really obvious what was going to happen, as soon as I saw his wife still tied up I knew he was going to kill them and blame Mark, I've seen Mark fail for 3 seasons so I just KNEW this would happen, it wasn't really a shock. Mark could have grabbed Powerplex and flown away at ANY MOMENT, but the powerscaling in the show has become so bad at this point. This season is ESPECIALLY apparent, and people should just stop defending it.

You can't write a character that powerful and then just ignore his power to build drama whenever it is convenient, and do it over and over and over again.

You're trying to tell me Immortal ruled the whole world in the future and Mark kills him in a couple of seconds and then he couldn't just grab this normal guy and fly away with him? We spend the first half of episode 1 seeing how strong Mark got only to lose to a freaking centipede? Then he gets trapped in a caccoon of some sort which the Reanimen just open easily. The SAME Reanimen that Mark destroys like they are nothing an episode later. Mark struggles against the Mauler twins for two seasons then Oliver kills them in a couple of hits?

And no Mark isn't "holding back" he's just as strong or as weak as the plot demands and it is pissing me off and coming offf as not genuine.

With all of that said, the end of the episode was insane, I just hope we don't continue down this road of bullshit powerscaling and fake drama.
