3rd book I ever completed!
Started on: 02 January 2025 morning
Completed on: 18 January 2025 morning
It's really amazing, he starts with ancient knowledge related to this issue (obviously western) then slowly goes to the Newton-Maxwell, Einstein's relativity, quantum theory and string theory.
He has explained the effects and uses of the theories in our tech. All the things he had explained are not in the mathematical form so are easier to understand.
In the final 7th chapter, he is becoming philosophical, and discussing on the existence of God.
One thing I didn't like much is all the philosophical things and the introduction of theories from the ancient world are focused on the western world, for e.g. the usual 'the Greeks found this and that' things. Altogeth, there is brief discussion on the Buddhist viewpoint in the last chapter, he could have mentioned other philosophies and theories from the other parts of the world too. The book is written more with a western perspective.
But overall it's a great read if you want to understand the evolution of the physics in brief.
I would rate it 4.8⭐/5
