Just finished Godaan
Again,what a masterpiece by the"Emperor of novels".
Really loved character development of Malti🌷 she was never a bad lady🙂↔️.Dhaniya was straight forward she questioned the system's of feudalism again and again.Hori my man was exactly opposite kept worshiping the "samaj ke thekedar" for being included in the "biradiri" bs.Gobar changed for good.Rupa the cutie🎀 was awesome sad she had marry a buddha but atleast she can now sleep with full stomach.
Have to say this was less brutal(not really😈)than his other works like "Nirmala". Beautifully written, thought provoking book with the typical touch of Munshi ji highlighting the plight of poor uneducated farmers, caste discrimination, woman empowerment, bureaucracy and feudalism.
I have this question why didn't Gobar open the tea stall somewhere else? If I remember clearly he said,he gets 3-4 paisa a day from that stall.
