Does IDV still ban VPN usage?

So im trying to play idv in my dorm but the wifi limits us dormers making us unable to open alot of apps. (ik its restricted for a reason but mostly its not a problem for me, i can time manage)

Im trying to grind more frags for doctors' set but i cant really do anything much due to the restriction, but i figured out that vpn can let me open websites and apps and sht like that so i was wondering if theyre still banning vpn users?

cause damn i dont wanna lose my account over trying to save up for skins lol and i dont want to pay irl money just because im unable to grind, and what vpn would u guys recommend if ever?
