Shingles exposure?

Is it safe to be around someone who has shingles? I am on a two month break from IVF, after 2 failed FETs. Trying unassisted while we wait for our next ER in January.

I had chickenpox as a kid. Never had the chickenpox vaccine.

The person with shingles is my mom. She doesn’t know we’re doing IVF or even trying to conceive. I want to drop off some food for her, and visit tomorrow, but I’m afraid I could get infected.

I wish she had gotten her damn shingles vaccine, to avoid all of the pain she is in, and all of the drama around it.

Can I visit as long as I don’t hug her or touch anything in her house?
