Good or novel products
I worked at IBM for more than a decade, was acquired when my next company was bought, then left. Then when I came back, all the formerly good products were barely supported, if at all. As an example, we could not find any DB/2 experts within IBM. Their mainframes had login screens pointing to an incorrect/outdated support phone number and no one knew who supported production instances.
My kids have heard of Apple, Facebook, etc. If I didn't tell them about IBM, they wouldn't be aware of them.
No one mentions IBM cloud offerings, much less be able to tell me what it's called (Is it IBM cloud, Bluemix, Softlayer, something else?)
No one screams cloud now I know. These quarters, it's AI. But again, no one mentions IBM.
Other than financial engineering, what tech is IBM relevant with?
