Calorie deficit…what worked for you?
So I am slowly closing in on “in range” numbers…very slowly. My last TSH was about 8 and I have another blood draw coming up this Friday to check how the 75mcg have done for me. I’m sure I’m still out there but each time it has gone down 2 ish points so I’m hoping to be around 6 and keep on moving down.
The weight gain and fatigue have been the absolute worst symptoms I’ve had and I really want to get back to “normal” as much as I can. I haven’t been watching what I’m eating much because honestly I’ve been depressed and feeling shitty about myself but I’m getting out of that mindset now and pushing myself to eat right and hopefully get this hypo weight off.
I don’t see myself exercising much right now as I’m still very fatigued but I want to really focus on being in a calorie deficit and hopefully add some exercise back in once I have the energy again….hopefully 🤞
I know it’s different for everyone just curious what daily calories worked for others. I was thinking like 1300-1400. I went from about 150- 186lbs in a little over a year (I’m 5’1”) Before I was diagnosed I was doing 30-60 mins of exercise daily and only eating 1000-1200 calories a day and still gaining. I don’t want to restrict myself that much again and I’m hoping my efforts will pay off now that I’m medicated and hopefully soon to be in ideal range in a few months?
