Starrail needs a "BOND" system with good LC rewards
Playing this game on/off for a year now as a F2P and it feels miserable. the characters and story can be engaging but it feels unrewarding to complete a story/character mission. it feels especially bad when i cant finish a story section with my favorite character due to a lack of good Light Cones (BTW i only have like 3 5star LC none are even that good). it also feels bad to hit pity on a LC banner since there's not alot of overlap between the characters that use them and their F2P counterpart.
Since buffs are not apparently a thing for this company as they prefer to indirectly buff characters with a new system instead, why not have a "BOND" system ala FATE. In fgo if you use a character alot you will get bond points and after reaching level 10 bond they receive a character specific Craft Essence (FGO's LC).
most the time these are just lore additions and a slight buff but in certain cases it can buff a character massively like Heracles. having this system will also make buffing 4star characters easier without a direct buff while making it easier for F2P people to play with their favorites.
the LC provided through these doesnt have to be better than the gacha LC but having an alternative LC would be great. besides if they buff characters this way people would be more inclined to pull for them AND play the game long enough to get the buff. it wont detract from LC gacha sales as that would still be the "easier" and "stronger" LC to get "instantly. and would make people want to pull for older 5stars that's been powercrept. like imagine silverwolf's BOND LC just giving her the buff she needs to be good enough in the current meta or one that makes aslan playable.
TLDR ver of this system: a bond system that rewards you for USING the characters for long enough that rewards you with more lore or a buff to said character.
