U7N 55" Price Jump

I've been looking to buy the u7n for a while now. The price for the 55" model has been sitting around $479-$500 for the past couple of months. Of course, I finally decide to pull the trigger and... the lowest price I can find it at now is $749.

Is this normal fluxuation for TV prices? Is there a reason for this price jump?
