Posterior tear without FAI

The results of my MRI with contrast state “a thin linear tear within the base of the posterior labrum, measuring 6mm in length and up to 1mm in thickness”. It also states “no MRI evidence of femoroacetabular impingement”.

I haven’t had a chance to meet with my surgeon yet but I’m curious if repairing posterior labrum tears is any different that anterior/superior in terms of success rate or recovery time? Seems like the majority I see here are anterior/superior. Also seems like the base of the posterior part would be difficult to access but what do I know.

Also - is 6mm linear tear big or small? I have no frame of reference. Not that it really matters.
