is bringing doc martens to backpack SEA crazy

I plan on bringing 2 shoes to South East Asia: Merrill's verison of teva/chacos and my lace up docs. They were my only shoe when i backpacked Europe last fall for three months and I walked 10+ miles in them every day, hiked in them multiple times and was impressed with the tread, and even was the only one with dry feet on days when it poured.

I know I need a closed toed shoe for south east asia and i considered some sort of sneaker or running/trail shoe but like....ifl Docs would get the job done. Theyre just HUGE (id have to wear them on all travel days) and usually not the SEA vibe. Like, theyre definitely a choice.

IK this is a "choose what's best for you" decision and I'm leaning on bringing them, but thought I'd take a poll
