(Incoming Freshman) Mac or Windows for MechE

I'm an incoming freshman planning on concentrating in mechanical engineering, and I was planning on buying a new laptop for college, but I'm not sure whether to get a Windows or a Mac. I've used a Mac through high school and love it, but I've heard that some classes like ES51 use Windows only 3D modeling software, and that Mac users basically have to do their work in the computer lab. Any advice would be great!!
